Speaking of ovulation, Jini’s well-founded aversion to hormonal contraceptives – as well as her practical, straight-forward approach to all aspects of health – is in line with an advocate of women’s health who I’ve grown to admire over the years – Dr. Prior. She, Dr. Prior, is also fervantly anti-HRT, but she is quite enthusiastic about the use of “natural” progesterone for menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes. I also appreciate the no-nonsense information she puts on her website (www.cemcor.ubc.ca)- just as Jini provides here. Dr. Prior does a few “doc talks” – sometimes with other prominent alternative health experts – having both Jini and Dr. Prior give a public talk together would be a knock-out event for women.

A study conducted by UCLA’s Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.
